Courage in the Face of Fear

“Courage is the mastery of fear, not the absence of fear.” Mark Twain.

Change can bring up fear or excitement. It just depends on our perception. When we look at relationships, we can see that change feeds the soul in ways that opens dialogues with others that would not happen otherwise. We know we cannot change others but only have the ability to change ourselves. From that awareness, we can clearly see that every change is an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and to extend the boundaries of our world. When we become stagnant, perhaps out of fear, we limit our life experience. But when we allow the fear to show itself and have the courage to step forward in the face of fear, trusting that we will be guided and protected, life becomes the glorious adventure it is meant to be.

Courage is the ability to step through the changes in our life with faith; to know that there is good in every one of life’s transitions; to believe that divine guidance will lead us; to listen and follow that inner voice. In the midst of trauma, tragedy, confusion or fear, there is a still small voice that can be felt when we become quiet. We are never alone either in joyous transitions or difficult ones. We are connected to a source of power that will soothe our heart, calm our mind and lead us out of the darkness into the light.

Turn within, ask for guidance, relax and allow answers, new ideas, love and peace to flow over you. Trust that all things are working together for good in your life. Give thanks that good is yours.

Affirmation for today:

All things are working together for good in my life.
