A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON THE ECONOMY

For those of us who have chosen to walk the spiritual path, we have a responsibility to take the high road no matter what the appearances seem to be. We are experiencing an economic situation in our country that appears to be a crisis. The Chinese symbol for crisis is a combination of two words, danger and opportunity. So we are facing a dangerous opportunity/ How will you and I choose to see this dangerous opportunity?  We are at choice. Here are a few truths that I have been working with as my response to this opportunity.

1. There is no lack in the universe. The truth of our being is that we live in a world of absolute abundance. There are vast resources of money, oil, food, etc. if we claim them and are willing to receive them. It is not the state of the economy that determines our well being, it is the consciousness that we hold about the economy. There is  more than enough to go around. Knowing that truth and continuing to live in the consciousness will not only keep us in the flow of our good but will serve the higher good for our nation.

2. The universe conspires to bring us our good. Stay focused on what “is” working in your life. Set intentions for your desires. See them already manifested. Feel the accomplishments with great joy and enthusiasm. Don’t allow fear or the media to dominate your thoughts. You are in charge of your mind energy and can choose to stay above the fear by continuing to live your life in the consciousness of abundance. Be grateful for all that you have and more will come. Allow the universe to handle the details. All is well!!

3. “Tie up your camel and trust in God.” What that means to me is balance. This is a good time to look at your personal finances. It would be easy to “tighten the belt” or “hoard” your money because of shortage. There is no shortage except what panic has caused people to create. We get what we focus upon whether we want it or not. Live your life as if all is well and it will be. Be thankful for the many gifts that are surfacing as a result of this economic opportunity. Many truths are coming to light that will alter the way business is managed on Wall Street and Main Street. “Occupy Wall Street” is a good example of a grass roots demonstration that will create change but the most effective change is within each of us individually and how we look at our money. The way money has been manged in the world is a macrocosm of how we manage our money. Take a look at your spending practices and see if they are out of balance with your current resources. Life is about balance. What are your priorities? The true riches of life are not purchased with money. They are living with peace of mind, a joyful heart, loving family and friends. True success is living a life balanced in all areas. As our country is transforming the way money is managed, it is a good time to transform your personal financial life. Give some of it away for that opens the door to receive. Set some aside for the future, spend what is left wisely. Establish a consciousness of abundance by speaking and thinking only about what is good, being grateful and appreciative of the joys of life, the little things, a sunset, a child’s laughter, beautiful fall colors. There is so much more good than bad in our world, more love than hatred, more health than sickness and more wealth than poverty. The glass of life is always half full when we choose to see it that way.

This is a time of change in our country. Embrace the changes and hold the vision of well being for all. Be the change you want to see in the world. Be the voice for love and well being. Let your light shine and you will be the inspiration for all of those in your sphere of influence.

I really loved this post. The current economic situation is not only distressing financially, it is even more distressing because of the energy created around fear. This is leading to such an entreched us/them view. So damaging on so many levels.

Your approach of changing our own perspectives is really the only thing that makes sense. Change starts with us, inside us. Thank you so much for this uplifting article and blog.
