10 Ways to High Joy

This is my first blog and I feel like a mother sending her child off to kindergarten. I have been speaking and sharing my truth for over 30 years but putting it on the internet in a blog feels very different.

However, I am very excited to be able to reach people all over the world and to have conversations through the wonderful world of technology.

I invite you to ask questions that I will do my best to answer. My desire is to inspire you into your greatness and at the same time challenge any belief you are holding onto that keeps you playing small.

Today I would like to talk about JOY. You see, I believe we are meant to live a joyous life. Oh sure, life happens and doesn’t always feel good but when we have established a consciousness of joy as a fundamental belief, we can handle the challenges that life brings our way.

  1. See the glass of life ½ full instead of ½ empty. See life as a mystery to be revealed rather than a problem to be solved.
  2. Accept what is, don’t resist. Resistance creates a vibration that causes that which we resist to persist.
  3. Focus on the good things in your life. When we focus on what IS working in our life, solutions for our challenges come forth.
  4. Develop an attitude of gratitude. Begin a gratitude journal. Every night write 3 experiences that brought you joy that day. Gratitude opens the heart.
  5. Stop and smell the roses. Enjoy nature. The magnificent fall leaves are just coming into full color. Don’t miss them!
  6. Take time to be quiet and listen to that still small voice within you. Ask the questions that are on your heart. You will receive answers and guidance.
  7. Follow inspired guidance. Those strong hunches, nudges and gut feelings are coming from your higher being. Listen to them. Your feelings will not steer you wrong.
  8.  Be aware of your inner dialogue. The tapes we run in our head can be uplifting or destructive. You control what you allow your mind to dwell upon. When your mind wants to keep going over a problem, you can consciously shift that thought energy by thinking about something wonderful, loving or joyous like your pets, your grandchildren, your home, a beautiful garden or a bright blue ocean.
  9.  Begin each day with “Good Morning God!” instead of “Good God its Morning”! Set your tone for the day by appreciating your life, your work, your family, your car or your clothes. There is more good in your life than bad. Focus on the good and watch your days become lighter and brighter.
  10. Set your intention to experience joy every day. No matter what has happened to you or what is happening now, you deserve to feel joy. You deserve to know that all is well. There is that with you that is greater than anything is.
